Managing Director

Doug began his career in insurance with JP Flanagan in 1993 and was an integral component in making JP Flanagan one of the most successful independent brokers of professional liability insurance in the United States. JP Flanagan was sold to Hub International (NYSE; HBG) in June of 2001. While at Hub International Doug served as a Senior Vice President, and was the practice leader for the Professional Liability Insurance Group.

Doug's insurance expertise has always been focused as a broker specifically working on errors & omissions insurance and directors & officer's liability coverage. Doug has also variously worked with alternative financial institutions such as hedge funds, venture funds and money managers on blended insurance products.

Doug's clients have included law firms on the American Lawyer Top 250, Fortune 500 Companies, and other large public and private professional services firms.

Over the past several years, Doug has participated in a variety of industry speaking engagements and has been published in industry journals.

In 1990, Doug graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree

President

Brian was named President of Thompson Flanagan Executive Liability Group, LLC on May 23, 2005. Thompson Flanagan Executive Liability Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Thompson Flanagan Holdings specializes in the following coverage lines: Directors & Officers Liability; Errors & Omissions; Employment Practices Liability; Fiduciary Liability; and Crime Insurance.

Prior to joining Thompson Flanagan Executive Liability Group, LLC, Brian was a Senior Vice President with Marsh within their FINPRO department. From 1995 to 2000, Brian was with Marsh in their New York City Office brokering Directors & Officers Liability; Employment Practices Liability; Fiduciary Liability; and Crime Insurance on behalf of Financial Institution clients. In 2000, he was transferred to the Chicago office where he continued to broker business for large Financial Institutions clients. In addition, he assumed a leadership role within the FINPRO department managing various operations. Prior to his departure, he managed the three teams that comprised the FINPRO brokerage operations in Chicago.

In 1995, Brian graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

EVP and Managing Director

Nick is an Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Thompson Flanagan & Company. Prior to joining Thompson Flanagan, Nick spent nearly ten years as Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Aon Corporation. The majority of that time Nick was part of a select (35 executives nationwide) group of senior officers that formed Aon's Strategic Account Management Group (SAM). Nick's duties at SAM involved leading a team of risk management and consulting professionals into management level offices at Fortune 500 public and private companies across the United States. Nick coordinated the day to day activities and served as the main conduit between the client's top decision maker and Aon Corp.

Before Aon, Nick spent six years at Marsh as a Vice President and Senior Account Manager in the Casualty insurance Group.

He received a B.A. from Hamilton College in 1980.

Vice President

Jack joined Thompson Flanagan & Company in July of 2004. From 2001 to 2004 Jack worked at Hub International specializing in E&O and D&O insurance for lawyers, accountants, architects, engineers, and alternative investment professionals such as investment advisors and broker/dealers.

From 1998 to 2001 Jack was alternately a clerk, specialist, and broker on the Chicago Stock Exchange. Jack was able to work on the execution of public securities for multiple exchanges including the NASDAQ, NYSE, and the AMEX. Jack gained invaluable knowledge regarding the inner workings of the public markets and a passion for public securities that continues today.

In 1998, Jack graduated from the DePaul University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Managing Director

Mac began his career following college graduation with Thompson Flanagan Executive Liability in September of 2007. Mac's services while at Thompson Flanagan has been focused as a broker on the placement of Directors & Officers, Errors & Omissions, Employment Practices, Fiduciary, Crime, and Kidnap & Ransom coverage for financial institutions and privately held companies.

In May 2007, Mac Graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
